Senior and Mid-Level Landscape Architect
Environmental planning and landscape architectural design firm seeks senior-level Landscape Architect for its Durango, Colorado office.  At a minimum, applicant should be experienced in drainage improvement and wetland mitigation design, park and trail master planning, and commercial site planning.  Applicant should also be proficient in the production of hand drawn presentation graphics and use of Photoshop and/or Quark Express.  Ideal candidate will possess at least 7 years of demonstrable knowledge/ experience directing and designing regional and city park projects, including master planning, site planning and production of construction documents.  Other relevant skills include business development, public presentation, and a working knowledge of appropriate xeric plants for use in mitigation of wetlands and landscape design in the Rocky Mountains region of southwest Colorado.

An additional mid-level landscape architect position may be filled.  This candidate will possess experience in drainage improvement and wetland mitigation design, city and regional park planning, and production of hand drawn presentation graphics and the use of Photoshop and/or Quark Express.  Additional required skills include using Autocad in a production environment and knowledge of xeric plants applicable to the Rocky

Environmental Specialist 

Multi-disciplinary environmental consulting firm seeks individual with background in biological sciences to provide field and in-house support for its Durango office.  Applicant must have BS/A in biological sciences (or related field).  Experience with field botany, hazmat, and/or environmental sampling, along with strong writing skills preferred. Position is part time to start and may become full-time in the near future.  Pay and other benefits negotiable, DOE. 

 

Water Resource Engineer, P.E.

Sugnet & Moore, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm, is seeking a Water Resource Engineer (P.E.) with five years minimum experience to help direct a growing water resources department in its Durango, Colorado office.  Multi-disciplinary environmental consulting firm that specializes in CWA/ESA/NEPA compliance seeks qualified individual with strong background in hydrology, hydrogeomorpgology, water depletion analysis, river restoration work, etc. to fill a position in its Durango, Colorado office.  The position will be responsible for developing and marketing new water resource services, in addition to maintaining and enhancing existing services.  Position requires working with restoration design for riparian and aquatic habitats, point/non-point source pollution and water rights/irrigation design. 

Qualified candidates should have at least five years of consulting experience in this field as well as good written/verbal comm. skills.  Working knowledge of Autodesk and/or ESRI softwares a plus.  Knowledge of storm water management, local, State and Federal water quality regulations, permitting, agricultural services groundwater and geomorphic are preferred.  Must have the ability and willingness to work and communicate in an interdisciplinary environment.  Competitive salary/benefits commensurate with education and experience.
